Partnership Agreement
A REIMAGINED PARTNERSHIP
Healing Reimagined, LLC is a private practice owned and operated by Kim Mackanic, LCSW, LCADC. Building community partnerships with like-minded clinicians, therapists, and healers is an essential part of her mission and vision. This partnership agreement serves as an opportunity for transparency in creating intentional and mutually beneficial relationships.
Mission: We seek to create accessible and inclusive healing spaces for individuals and communities using an anti-racist lens.
Vision: In these reimagined spaces, we will explore our curiosity about healing as individuals and communities, which is as much about hope and possibility as it is about honoring our pain. We hope to understand how we got here, how to create and advocate for change, and how to imagine a more equitable future.
As partners, we make the following Commitments:
To our clients: We will explore and honor all of the pieces of who you are; each part of your identity (race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, ability, and more) impacts how you experience the world and how the world responds to you. We will seek opportunities to better understand systemic barriers to wellness, our own white privilege and how that can show up in the therapeutic space, and ways to integrate anti-racist practice and policy in all that we do.
To our community: We will operationalize the "social justice" principle of social work by challenging injustices in our communities as advocates, allies, and accomplices in the fight against oppression and inequality.
To each other: This is a partnership, not a hierarchy. We will build a collaborative, professional environment which embodies the values we impart to our clients and where we can share our collective knowledge, skills, and resources. We will honor each other's efforts to practice self-care and set healthy boundaries. We will encourage personal accountability in our anti-racism work, and remain willing to be challenged in order to grow. We will identify, create, and encourage training opportunities to continue our personal and professional growth which honors our shared mission.
Partnership Agreements:
Partners will uphold the mission, vision, and commitments of Healing Reimagined, LLC.
In lieu of paying consulting fees to Healing Reimagined, LLC, Partners will make a monthly donation to organizations which are doing anti-racist work in their communities. The donation amount will be agreed upon by all Partners.
Partners will regularly and collaboratively engage in learning and training opportunities which explore anti-racist work and social justice issues.
This partnership will act as a referral network to ensure potential clients are connected with a therapist who will best fit their individual goals, needs, and therapeutic interests (including referring clients outside of the partnership when necessary). There is no fee or financial benefit for providing/receiving referrals.
Whenever possible, Partners agree to be available for client coverage in order to ensure continuity of care when a Partner is unavailable due to scheduled time off or in the event of an emergency. All necessary steps will be taken to ensure client confidentiality and informed consent.
When facilitating training or offering community events, Partners will offer free or discounted rates to members of marginalized communities and/or groups with limited-resources.
Partners agree to evenly share the financial burden of any mutual operating costs.
Partnership Meetings will occur once monthly. Partners must attend at least 6 meetings per year, but are encouraged to attend all. Meetings will include time for peer supervision, administrative support, and personal accountability. Decision making will be collaborative and inclusive of all existing partners, including but not limited to training development, adding future partners, terminating an existing partnership, and amending the partnership agreement. Meeting minutes will be taken and shared amongst all Partners; Partners will rotate the role of note taker.
Partners agree to work towards long-term goals including but not limited to:
Developing capacity for a Therapy Scholarship for individuals from historically marginalized communities and/or facing systemic oppression (ex: individuals who are BIPOC, AAPI, LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, and/or disabled), or facing major financial barriers to therapy
Increasing community engagement and activism
Developing and facilitating social work training courses
Developing and facilitating support groups, community events, etc. based on client and community needs
Establishing a coalition for NJ-based EMDR therapists which will offer consultation, trainings, peer support, and resources
Duration of Partnership: while there is no formal set duration of partnership, this relationship is intended to be a long-term collaborative process. Unlearning and dismantling systems of white supremacy, patriarchy, homophobia, etc. can only happen with persistence in doing the work. Partners may choose to participate in the partnership as long as they continue to act in accordance with the partnership agreement. There is no penalty for leaving the partnership, however Healing Reimagined, LLC emails, website, and branding will no longer be available for use after a partnership has ended.
Termination of Partnership: an individual partnership may be terminated at any time if at least 2/3 of Partners agree that an individual Partner has failed to follow through on the Partnership Agreement in any way. Prior to a decision to terminate, reasonable efforts will be made to work with the Partner of concern to assist them in realigning with the partnership agreement. Healing Reimagined, LLC emails, website, and branding will no longer be available for use after a partnership has been terminated.
What Healing Reimagined, LLC offers:
Healing Reimagined, LLC will act as a business consultant for new and existing Partners to assist with private practice start-up steps, billing questions, etc. Healing Reimagined, LLC claims no specific or formal expertise in this area, however will openly share knowledge gained through personal experience.
Partners will be able to utilize Healing Reimagined, LLC branding and will have access to an @healingreimagined.net email address for the duration of the partnership. This includes Google Drive storage and access to all Google Workspace applications. NOTE: Partner letterhead, email signatures, etc. must include a statement which clarifies partnership and avoids unintended misrepresentation of a formal business affiliation; templates will be provided by Healing Reimagined, LLC.

Healing Reimagined, LLC agrees to act as an equal Partner, following all expectations outlined in this agreement and upholding the shared mission and vision of the partnership.
By signing the Partnership Agreement, each Partner agrees to and acknowledges the following:

I acknowledge that this partnership is a community-based affiliation and referral network; this is not a group practice nor an employment agreement. Partners will maintain fully separate business entities for all financial, legal, and other business purposes. Partners will follow all local, state, and federal regulations and policies, including licensing requirements and ethical guidelines within their scope of practice. Healing Reimagined, LLC is not liable or responsible for individual actions of partners.
